Backyard Steak Marinade

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    In a large, shallow glass baking dish, combine wine, oil, GravyMaster®, onion, parsley, bay leaf, tarragon, thyme and cayenne pepper sauce.

    Place steak in marinade and turn to coat all sides. Cover and chill 24 hours, turning steak frequently.

    Remove steak from marinade. Grill 4 to 6 inches from hot glowing coals for 12 to 15 minutes, turning and brushing frequently with reserved marinade. Makes 8 servings.

      INSTRUCTIONS:

      Step 1: In a 3-quart saucepan, sauté onion in oil until tender.

      Step 2: Add beer and boil until mixture is reduced by half.

      Step 3: Add remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes, stirring frequently. (If sauce is too thick, add some more beer or water.)

      INSTRUCTIONS:

      Step 1: * Mix all ingredients but the cornstarch in a sauce pan and begin heating.

      Step 2: * Mix cornstarch and 1/4 cup cold water in a bowl and stir to dissolve.

      Step 3: * After sauce is simmering, add cornstarch and water mixture, whisking well until sauce thickens.

      Step 4: * Remove from heat and let rest for 2-3 minutes to continue to thicken.

      We use our a delicious teriyaki sauce for our chicken and rice bowl, adding broccoli, fresh spring greens, and carrots to bring it all together.

        INSTRUCTIONS:

        Start with 4 tablespoons of fat left over in the pan after cooking meat (or substitute butter or margarine). Blend in 4 tablespoons flour over low heat, stirring until smooth. Slowly stir in 2 cups water and pan drippings. Boil gently five minutes. Stir in 1 teaspoon GravyMaster®. Add salt and pepper to taste. Makes 2 cups perfect gravy.
